It is with broken hearts that the family of Nathan Forest Ainsworth announce his sudden passing, on Friday, February 26, 2021, at the age of 45. Beloved father of Samuel and Emma Ainsworth. Loving brother of Emilie, Joel (Cara), Anne (Dean), Daniel (Sarah) and Benjamin (Amy). Cherished uncle of Chase (Haley), Raine, True, Daphne, Lauryn, Zion, Seth, Zoey, Beatrice, Beresford, Edith and Sloane. Remembered by many aunts and uncles. Predeceased by his parents, Lynne and Robert Ainsworth, and by his grandparents Bert and Helen Ainsworth of Sarnia, and Leo and Doris Deslippe of Amherstburg. Nathan was an amazing father. Nathan enjoyed playing many sports and excelled in ice hockey and rugby as a member of the Mooretown Flags and Sarnia Saints. Nathan was a proud father, strong musician and poet, knowledgeable academic and devout grill master. He was an avid fan of Detroit sports teams. Nathan spent the better part of two decades managing Bryenton’s Furniture. He was also a proud member of Local 1089 Labourers Union. He will be remembered for his colourful and unique sense of humour, huge heart and tireless work ethic. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, and getting together with his five siblings. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, a private family visitation will be held with cremation to follow. When restrictions are lifted, a gathering to celebrate Nathan’s life will be held. If you would like to make a donation in Nathan’s memory, please contribute to Nathan’s children’s trust fund (cheques payable to Joel Ainsworth until the trust fund is set up), or to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
