On October 9, 2021, Natale Boccalon left his beloved farm on this earth for a glorious fruit orchard in eternity. Just shy of the marvellous age of 90, Dad’s wish – to live out his years on the farm that he and my mother loved so much – was fulfilled. Dad still enjoyed puttering outdoors in his final years and loved bringing his chickens their daily spaghetti. He and mom immigrated to Canada over 67 years ago, worked incredibly hard and built a very good life for themselves and their family. Their farm was a passion that brought them so many wonderful memories, from the actual farming to the markets and all the wonderful customers and friendships that they formed along the way. Dad was loving, gregarious, generous, with a kind heart and a genuine appreciation of good food and good company. His jovial presence is profoundly missed by his wife and true love Rosina, his daughter Irene and son-in-law John, his surviving siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends and will be welcomed by his predeceased parents, siblings and other loved ones with whom he is now reunited. Until we see you again Dad, thank you for everything. We love you to eternity and then some. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held during spring blossoms. A heartfelt thank you to the HNHB LHIN home care team, including St. Elizabeth Health Care and Bayshore Home Care. Dad’s memory can be honoured by donating to St. Elizabeth Health Care sehc.com/foundation/donate or by quite simply supporting your local farmers. At the end of life, what really matters is not what we bought but what we built; not what we got but what we shared; not our competence but our character, and not our success, but our significance. Live a life that matters. Live a life of love. Author Unknown
