Obituary of Morgan Cecil Short
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Morgan Cecil Short announces his passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre on Friday, January 1st, 2021 at the age of 60 with his loving wife by his side. Born in Port aux Basques, Morgan is the son of Cecil Short and the late Annie Short (Wall). He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 41 years, Marlene Short (nee Anderson), children, Amanda Short (Darrell Bungay) and Andy Short (Kayla Tufts), grandchildren, Kyle, Jaxon and Anna, brothers, Rev. Deacon Vernon (Maisie) Short of Flowers Cove, Herman (Kathleen) Short of Yellowknife NWT, Norman Short of Cape Ray, sisters, Phyllis (Gordon) Lillington of Beaumont, Alberta, Trudy (Alfie) LeRiche of Cape Ray, brothers and sisters in laws, Jimmy (Susan) Anderson, Ralph (Mary) Anderson, Harold (Barbara) Anderson, Lorraine (Douglas) Seaward, Margaret Osmond (Dean Osmond), all of Cape Ray, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Morgan was predeceased by his mother, Annie Short, and infant sister, Sylvia. Visitation will be taking place at Oceanside Funeral Home, on Sunday, January 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9. In keeping with Morgan’s wishes, cremation to follow. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at St. John the Evangelist Church in Cape Ray at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Deacon Vernon Short officiating. Interment to follow at St .James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the family.
