HUDSON, Mildred Marie (nee Belbeck) – passed away at the Hardy Terrace Retirement Home, Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Alexander Hudson (2002). Loving mother of Trudy Harris (Elmer Kozak) of Simcoe and Dennis Hudson (J.C.) of Comox, BC. Cherished grandmother & great grandmother of the late Gordon Oakes (2011), his daughter Victoria Richardson-Oakes; and Suzanne Oakes (Iain Andrews) of Simcoe, her daughter Kylie. Mildred will be lovingly remembered by her sister Donna Lindsay of Port Dover. Predeceased by her parents, the late Harry & Gertrude Belbeck and by sisters Grace LaRiviere and Vera Walsh. Mildred loved to quilt and was know as the “Christmas Tree Lady” as her and Alex sold Christmas trees for many years together. Friends are invited to share to share their memories of Mildred with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk Street North, Simcoe N3Y 3R3 for visitation on Tuesday, August 10th, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. (face masks & social distancing required). A private family funeral will be held with Pastor Charles Mayo officiating. Interment: Port Dover Cemetery.
