BURTAN, Mihaela –
Mihaela Burtan passed in hospital on January 3rd, 2021 at the age of 64, having lost her battle with cancer. Dearly beloved wife of Florin, and loving mother to Irina Georgiana. Cherished grandmother to Madalina and Frederic. She will be so fondly remembered by her friends and family.
Mihaela was the epitome of a provider. She brought her daughter to Canada to help to provide her with the opportunities for a successful life. She showed her love to all around her by providing her delicious signature foods and treats. She provided knowledge to everyone who would listen about Romania, her traditions and life before she came to Canada. She provided love and care to her grandchildren. She provided help for her community in her profession.
Mihaela was truly a one of a kind woman. The influence on our lives will always be apparent. No matter how much time passes, her memory will always be present in our minds. When we make one of her recipes, play a song she loved or talk about one of her stories of back home in Romania, she will be with us again. Every day. We love you, buni Mihaela.
