It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Michelle Marie O’Neill on June 1st, 2021, at the Lisaard House Hospice – Cambridge Ontario, at the age of 56. She will be remembered by her loving children; Elizabeth and Brandon (Cheyenne), brothers and sisters; Eddie (June), Beverly, Patricia, Rennie (Sonia), Chris, Theresa (Dave), Mary (Paul), Goldie (Regan), nieces and nephews; Russell, Lexi, Dougie, Jeff (Lindsay), Robyn (Daniel), Lauren, Matthew, Stephen (Seneca), Jason (Samantha) and Melanie (Adam); as well as numerous other treasured friends and loved ones. Michelle can rest peacefully as she is reunited with her loving mother and younger brother Dougie. Michelle will be remembered for her kind heart, strength and optimistic view on life. She was known to welcome anyone and everyone into her home with open arms and for always seeing the good in those around her. Michelle centered her entire life around her two children, loving and supporting them wholeheartedly and unconditionally. Michelle enjoyed Twilight movie marathons with her daughter and cheering on the Montreal Canadiens every hockey season with her son. She faced her battle of head and neck cancer with courage and resilience. Throughout all of her treatments and trips to the hospital, she remained positive and optimistic, making friends with all the hospital staff and home care nurses along the way. Michelle was truly one of a kind, she touched the hearts of so many people throughout her life, and will be missed deeply by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. Cremation has taken place, and to ensure that all loved ones have the opportunity to say goodbye, a funeral service will be held when COVID-19 restrictions begin to abate. Michelle’s family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Mendez, Dr. Kuruvilla and Dr. Sathya at Victoria Hospital, nurse Debbie Charron at ParaMed and to the staff at the Lisaard House Hospice for the attentive care that they had provided Michelle throughout her cancer journey. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lisaard and Innisfree Hospice would be appreciated.
