Obituary of Michael Eugene Donohue
It is with great sadness the family of Gene Donohue announces his peaceful passing on January 9th, 2021 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Fran of 62 special years. Loving father of Pat (David) Howe, Stephen Donohue (Brian Kershaw) and Mary (Karim) Popat. Proud Grandpa of Amanda, Nicholas (Meghan), Nathan (Angela), Matthew (Linda), Katelyn, Braeden (Natasha), Michael (Chris), Justin (Mackenzie), Tyler (Cassandra), Omar, and Sabrina. Cherished great-grandpa of Alyssa, Brooke, Rachel, Griffen, Finleigh, Fletcher, Aviana, Zayne, Noah, and Jax. Survived by his siblings Doreen (Gord) Hughes and Wallace Donohue. Gene is predeceased by his son Barry Donohue (2003), his grandson Kristopher Howe (2009) and his sister Eileen Breen (2020). Gene will be sadly missed and remembered by his extended family and friends.
A private family service will be held at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Saturday, January 16th, 2021. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Strathroy. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Strathmere Lodge Auxiliary Fund.
