It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Michael Burger on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Hospice of Waterloo Region at the age of 92.
Beloved husband of Hilde for 70 years.
Loving father of Elfriede «Frieda» Szillat (Lothar), Dieter Burger (Judy) and Helene Burger (John).
Proud Opa of Sabrina (Chris), Christel (Tim), Alaina (Shaun), Heidi, Michael (Michelle), Melissa, Scott (Elizabeth) and Andrew (Virginie).
Great-Opa of Niklas, Sofia, Hayden, Colten, Olivia, Whitney, Tiernan, Leenah, Jack and Liliana.
Dear brother of Gabriele, Hilde and Josef all of Germany.
Before his retirement, Michael worked as the night foreman at Wean United Canada. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour.
Michael’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. A private family service will be held in the chapel. Interment at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.
