MEYER, Murray William
March 24, 1953 ~ April 14, 2021
Murray Meyer of Wetaskiwin passed away at the age of 68 years. Murray was born to Ethel and Bill Meyer on March 24th, 1953, in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. His birth completed the family and joined his olders sisters Madeleine, Beverly, Norma.
Murray grew up and took his schooling in Nipawin. He showed interest in machines and was trained very young to operate many machines well. The family were involved with farming, lumber mills and construction.
On September 25th, 1993 Murray married the love of his life, Darlene Stonehouse. Four sons blessed this union. Kristopher was born in NIpawin on October 4th, 1994. Also, Braden arrived on September 17th, 1996 and Patrick arrived June 28th, 2000 also in Nipawin. Timothy completed their family in Wetaskiwin, Alberta on May 21st, 2003.
In 2001 the family settled in Wetaskiwin, Alberta where Murray sold vehicles for Denham Ford. Murray excelled there achieving several accolades including top Ford Canada sales. Earlier he had achieved the Canadian top sales for Yamaha as well. However, his greatest gift is his brave dedicated wife Darlene and his BOYS!
His love of music continued throughout his life even to his last day. He picked that up from his Mom and Aunt Margie who loved to sing.
Murray came through many medical miracles. He fought bravely through Cardiac, Kidney Dialysis and Surgical procedures. Murray passed away after a brave struggle in Red Deer. His focus through all of this was for his beloved Darlene and will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his devoted wife Darlene, his boys, Kristopher, Braden, Patrick, and Timothy; his sisters Beverly (Don), Norma, and Maureena (Dale), as well as his Aunt Helen (Meyer) Schmitt, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Also to mourn his loss are his Mother in law Delma Stonehouse, Brother in Law Vernon, Sisters Barb (Ed), Sharon (Ed), many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Murray was pre-deceased by his parents, Ethel and Bill Meyer, his sister Madeleine (George).
We thank God for Murray’s life. We will miss how you could make us laugh, sing, and send emojis! Hugs Murray….WE LOVE YOU…You did well!
We wish to thank each of you for the love, calls, and support we have received during these last few years, thank you special cousin Gary {Donna} Meyer for your awesome love and support through it all. Also, may we thank all of you who have come today to be with our family.
