In loving memory of Maxine Mary Ahunu, aged 54, who passed away peacefully on October 21, 2021, in the hospital accompanied by her brother, Jason Crant.
Born July 25, 1967, in St. Alban’s, Newfoundland, Canada to Bessie and Benedict Crant, Maxine was a loving mother, sister, and daughter and is survived by her two children Angela Ahunu and Benedict. Ahunu-Kumi; brothers Edison, Benedict, and Jason Crant; sisters Melinda Walsh and Nina Northcott; and mother Bessie Crant.
Maxine was full of life; she loved and was loved by all those around her. Maxine’s outgoing character and heartfelt laugh warmed the spirits of everyone she was near. An avid baker, Maxine was never shy to lend a hand in the kitchen and fill the belly of anyone in need. Her love of crafts and home creations showed her artistic talents, which were passed down to the hands of her children.
As per Maxine’s wishes, cremation will take place. The family will be having a private service on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, with a public viewing afterward, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at:
