Sadly, we announce that Maureen Kelly (Everson) passed peacefully away while surrounded by her loving family after a battle with Cancer.
“Mom” was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose life revolved around her family and Catholic faith.
Maureen leaves to mourn her husband, Harold, of 53 years and her children: David (Jacinta), Darrin, and Harold (Margo). Maureen took pride in being a grandmother to her four precious grandchildren: David, Ryan, Andrew and Kathryn.
Maureen is predeceased by her parents Robert & Beatrice Everson; brothers John & Robert; sisters Mary Ann, Rosalita & Madelon Schmiedendorf (Lou); father & mother in-law- John & Mary Kelly; brother in law John Kelly. Maureen leaves to mourn her sisters Kathrine Fromm, Millie Cahill (Jim), Adelaide Rahmann (Paul), brothers David (Kathleen), Ron (Deb), Robert (Gina), Gordon (Sheila), sisters-in-law: Mary Power (Ray), Eileen Kelly Freake (Barry), Theresa Morris (Peter), Clare Stamp (Rick); brothers-in-laws: Michael (Jean), Patrick (Margaret),and Nicholas (Donna Marie); as well as a large circle of friends and family. Special thank you to the family & friends that visited and called Maureen during her sickness that truly enlightened each and every day.
Thank you to family physician Dr. Bishop, for her support and help over the years. Special thank you to community health nurse Pam Hunt and the Palliative Care support team that provided assistance to the family to allow Maureen to spend her time after her Cancer diagnosis at home.
As per Maureen’s request, cremation has taken place. She will be resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 1118 Torbay Road. Visitation on Friday, December 17th, 2021 from 2–4 pm and 7–9 pm. Due to Covid-19 Public Health guidelines with respect to public gatherings, visitations will be limited to family and close friends only, and family would like proof of vaccination to be shown to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto through St. Michaels Parish or Janeway Children’s Hospital. Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, December 18th at 11 am at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Flatrock. For those who wish to attend, please pre-register with the family during visitation or you may contact Caul’s Funeral Home.
