Mary Davidoff
December 12, 1937 – January 17, 2021
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Davidoff of Tarry’s, BC. Mary passed away peacefully at Talarico Place on January 17, 2021 with family by her side. She was blessed with 83 years of life.
Mary was born on December 12, 1937 in Slocan Park, BC to the parents of Nick and Florence Poohachoff. She was the eldest of three children.
Mary devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She definitely had a green thumb for growing vegetables and flowers and enjoyed cooking, shopping, travelling and having a great time with family and friends. She also loved having her pet cats beside her. She touched our lives deeply with her kindness, generosity and her heart of gold.
Mary was predeceased by her son-in-law Gary Makortoff in 1982, grandson Kevin Makaroff in 1990, son Gary Davidoff in 2008, husband Michael in 2010, brother Nick Poohachoff in 2012, sister Florence Zoobkoff in 2012, son-in-law Joe Boulin in 2013 and mother Florence Poohachoff in 2013.
Left to mourn are daughters Leona (Fred) Sherbinin, grandchildren Tammy Sherbinin and Kristy (Tyler) Gienger, great-grandchildren Ryder and Jewels Gienger; Beverly (Bob) Makaroff, grandchildren Dale (Ariadna) Makaroff, Jenna Makaroff and Ricky Makaroff; Lenny (late Joe Boulin) Boulin, grandchildren Shauna Boulin and Kyla Boulin, great-grandchildren Courtney and Caleb Hoodicoff.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Smart, the Staff at Talarico Place for their loving care and compassion, Bill Strilaeff and the Castlegar Funeral Chapel for their heartfelt support and arrangements.
A private service will be held on January 27, 2021 with Interment at Park Memorial Cemetery, Castlegar, BC.
You will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten.
