Marion A. Platt

It is with deep sadness that we announce the
passing of Marion Murray Crawford Platt at the age of 93
years.
Marion was born at Murray Raod, Kent Co., NB to the late
Gordon Murray and the late Glenna Colborne. She was employed with the
T. Eaton Company and The Co-operators until her retirement. She was a
devoted member of the Sunny Brae Baptist Church and the Women’s
Mission Society.
Marion had a passion for gardening always
eager to grow something new. She was a member of the Westmorland
Horticultural Society for many years. Another passion was quilting.
She is survived by Carolyn Mapplebeck (late Paul) Judy
Boyd (Larry), Lois Matthews (Billy) James Crawford (Marilyn), Susan
Ells (Marven), Bonnie Meringer (Brian); 19 grandchildren, 47 great
grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; four step-children;
sisters in law Anna, Amy, Frances, Donna, Marilyn; best friend Olive
(Rogers) Mercer.
She was predeceased by an infant daughter
Brenda Lee (1960), first husband A. Melvin Crawford (1970) and second
husband George Platt (2006) sisters Ruby Wallace and Joan Murray and
brothers Russel and Bruce; best friend Jean Duke.
At her
request there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be
held later. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Friends of
th Moncton Hospital or to the Parkinson Society.
Interment
will be at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
