Obituary of Marilyn Wild
Marilyn Eileen Wild (nee Neil)
Marilyn Eileen Wild passed away suddenly on November 14th, 2021 at Riverview Gardens in Chatham, at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Stan Wild. She is survived by her children Janet Gawne (Robert) of Searchmont, David Wild (Jayne) of Sombra, Rich Wild (Mary) of Chatham, and Kathryn Robbins (late Scott 2021), her grandchildren, Deborah Cleminson (Mike Behnke) of Lansing MI, David Widdis (Gina) of London, Erin Wild (Abhin) of Milton, Jennifer Wild (Dylan) of Newmarket, Michael Fitzpatrick and Sarah Robbins, her great-grandchildren Joseph Cleminson (Rachel) of Midland MI, Cameron Cleminson (Kelsey) of Cincinnati, OH and Katharine Widdis of London.
Marilyn is also survived by her sister Janet VanAllen (late Jim) of Lady Lake, FL, brothers-in-law Robert Wild (late Phyllis) of Huntsville and Larry Monkhouse (late Anne, Ingrid) of St. Thomas.
She was predeceased by her parents Clarence Orville and Mary Hazel (nee West) Neil, her siblings and their spouses Douglas Neil (Erma), Ellenore Revell (Bill), Kenneth Neil (Bertha) and Robert Neil (Marg) and Stan’s siblings and their spouses James Wild (Rosalie, Garlene), Alec Wild, Barbara Wills (Bud), Molly Birchmore (Dave), and Beth Kieffer (Bill). She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Marilyn was born, raised and lived her whole life in Chatham. Retired from Union Gas since 1984, Marilyn was a former member of the Ontario Genealogical Society – Kent Branch. Marilyn and Stan were founding members of Sprucedale United Church in Chatham.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date with interment in Craford Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marilyn can be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
