Marie V. Pitcher
April 4, 1937 – April 5, 2021
Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family, Marie Pitcher of St. John’s, formerly of Hopeall, in her 84th year.
Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Clara Pitcher; sister, Marjorie March; brother, Roy Pitcher; and brother-in-law, Albert Cranford.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her brothers, Nelson Pitcher and Elwood Pitcher; sisters, Joyce Cranford, Florence (John) Pike, and Phyllis (Stewart) Legge; sister-in-law, Mildred Pitcher; special friends, Anne Benson and Muriel Hopkins; as well as many nephews, nieces, extended family members, and friends.
Marie worked with health care for 37 years. She began working at the old General Hospital and then at the Health Sciences Centre until her retirement.
Cremation has taken place.
Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, the visitation and service to celebrate Marie’s life will be private.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to First United Cemetery, Hopeall.
