January 14, 1939 – September 18, 2021
With deeply saddened hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mamma and nonna. She will be forever remembered by her children John (wife Gloria and granddaughter Daniela), Silvana (husband Todd) and Antonio.
Mom was an extraordinary lady. Her voice was vibrant. She looked for the good in any situation and looked away at the bad. She liked to use humour in conversation and really loved companionship with her beloved family and so many friends. Kindness and allegria were her primary values. The well-being of others mattered to her greatly.
Our mom was born in a small town in Italy called Lanciano. As a child and teenager, mom had a sense of high energy. Sometimes it got her in a bit of trouble but mostly it all went to contributing to the family farm and livelihood. Mom’s siblings lived in Argentina, Australia, Italy and herself in Canada. She visited them all. She stayed in contact with all her family and friends through regular phone calls and enjoyed any kind of conversation. Sharing a cup of coffee and a slice of cake with someone was dear to her heart. Our parents had a great marriage of 57 years. They made everything work even though they were two completely different people. Lots of bickering and chatter but they loved each other dearly and always supported each other. Our mom, was the perfect model of a human being that God would desire in this world. There will be a day when we see you again Mamma. On that day, we will be with You, and Papa and all the beautiful relatives and friends. It will be heaven and the time together will be everlasting. We all look forward to this day. In the meantime, we will stay in touch through spirit, memories and you will always occupy a special place in our hearts.
Mom taught us that “Life is beautiful … when you look … for the beauty in Life”.
