Marguerite Ramona Ward
1930-2021
Marguerite Ramona Ward, 90, of Kentville,
passed away in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on Thursday, March
11, 2021. Born in Three Mile Plains, she was a daughter of the late
Henry and Harriett (Hunter)
Whitehead. Marguerite enjoyed bowling and card parties. She always
had yarn on needles, making slippers and other knits. She also enjoyed
making needlepoint pictures. When curling was on tv, that’s
where you would find her. Marguerite is survived by her
son, Garnet Whitehead of Windsor; stepson, Robert
«Bob» (Fran) Ward, of Alberta; stepdaughter, Norma
(Bob) Malott, of Kentville; sister, Winnifred Whitehead of Three Mile
Plains; grandchildren, Alanna Ward, Scott Malott, Kirk Malott and
Andrew Upshaw; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and
nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
husband, Gerald Ward; brothers, Robert, Harry, Arnold, Herman and
Carl; and sisters, Marion, Marie and
Elsie. Cremation has taken place. There will be a public
graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Elm
Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County, Pastor Terry Penney
officiating. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
