With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Margaret McMillan on September 23, 2021, peacefully at the age of 90 in Milton Ontario.
Predeceased by her husband Robert McMillan and 9 of her siblings.
Survived by her four children Jeffrey (Deena), Jane (Wally), Jim, and Joanne (Desmond), 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and her eldest sister Jenny.
Those who knew her loved her sense of humour and honesty. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. You always knew where you stood with her. She lived a full and happy life with no regrets. She did not want anyone to be sad upon her passing and would prefer people remember her with a smile or a big hearty laugh.
A private family service will be held later this week.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
“Feel no guilt in laughter
She knows how much you care
Feel no sorrow in a smile
That she’s not here to share
You cannot grieve forever
She would not want you to
She’d hope that you would carry on
The way you always do
So talk about the good times
And the ways you showed you cared
The days you spent together
All the happiness you shared.
Let the memories surround you
A word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture
A time, an hour, a day
That brings her back as clearly
As though she were still there
And fills you with the feelings
That she is always near
For if you keep those memories
You will never be apart
And she will live forever
Locked safe within your heart”
