On February 12, 2021, Marcel Perras of Edmonton passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital.
Marcel was a well known entrepreneur and owned several businesses in Edmonton and Fort McMurray. He lived for challenges and met them head on. He had little time to enjoy retirement before becoming ill with dementia.
He was a travel enthusiast, enjoying numerous personal trips and conferences worldwide, over many years. He also enjoyed golf as his hobby and was a long time member of the Highlands Golf Club, as well as a season ticket holder for the Edmonton Oilers.
He was an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Parish and served as a Eucharistic minister.
He is survived by his life long business partner/brother Aime (Carol) of Edmonton; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends who will miss him dearly. A special thank you to Terry Sayers for his constant support, unconditional love for Marcel and supportive relationship with the family.
Thank you to the staff of the Rosewood Wing of St. Joseph’s hospital for the loving care and compassion they showed Marcel. A special thank you to Nurse Keith.
Due to the current pandemic restrictions, a private funeral has been held February 18th, 2021.
And while he lies in peaceful sleep
