Manuel Raposo
October 2, 1952 – July 22, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel Raposo at the of 68 years.
Left to mourn, is his wife Normanda Raposo; his sons Danny and Jeff, grandson Dario; his sister Margaret (Luis) Sousa and their children, Kevin and Jenny; his brothers Eddy (Maria) Melo and their son, Matthew Adam; Everett (Rosa) Medeiros; Joe (Barb) Melo and their children, Cindy and Theresa; John (Grace) Medeiros and their sons, Steven and Chris, extended family and many friends.
Manuel was born October 2, 1952 in Capelas Sao Miguel Acores. He immigrated to Winnipeg in 1967, where he went straight to work learning to speak and write English through work and friends.
Manuel and Normanda were married for 47 years She was is his school sweetheart and together they have two loving sons.
Manuel managed his own cleaning company and he owned Global Auto Detailing with his son Danny.
Normanda and her sons would like to thank the emergency personnel, St. Boniface Health Care Providers and all who have extended their condolences and acts of kindness at this time.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin St. N. Winnipeg, MB. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, Rev. Father Tiago Coloni presiding. Due Covid 19 restriction the mass will be limited to immediate family members only. Interment at Assumption Cemetery 3990 Portage Ave. Current Covid-19 restrictions in effect at the cemetery allow for 150 attendees.
