Obituary
Mable Ona (Herzog) Wigley was born on April 25, 1922 in Oberlin, Alberta and passed peacefully to her rest on January 23, 2021 in Lacombe, Alberta.
Mable was predeceased by Bill (her loving husband of 71 years) in 2012, her eldest son Bill Jr. in 2009, her daughter Ona in 1947, her parents, and all of her siblings.
Mable leaves to mourn her passing four children: Joy Wigley of Blackfalds, Star (Mark) Strachan of Red Deer, Roy (Marianne) of Airdrie, and Bunnie (Murray Roddis) of Red Deer; daughter-in-law Heather Wigley of Airdrie; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mom was loved by many and will be sadly missed. Mom and dad met on a farm in the Stettler area when they were young and working on a farm. When they married they lived in the Stettler area for many years. When dad started pastoring they moved to different places such as Calgary, Vegreville, Olds and Lacombe. Mom was lovingly cared for at the Royal Oak Manor in Lacombe and sincere thanks to the staff there.
As per her request there will be no viewing, she will be cremated, and her Memorial Service will be on May 14, 2021. More details will be given at a later date.
