Obituary of the late Mabel Annie Russell
July 11, 1940 – July 27, 2021
It is with great sadness the family of the late Mabel Annie (Tippett) Russell announce her passing on July 27, 2021, at Labrador Grenfell Health, Happy Valley Goose Bay at the age of 81 years. She will be sadly missed by her sons; Billy (Holly), Terry (Gwen), Keith (Melissa), Daughter; Elsie (Chad). Grandchildren; Patrick (Chery), Scosha Gerri Diamond, Samantha (Wayne), Shandi (Derek). Great Grandchildren; Leah, Alex, Ayla, Anna, Angela, David, Ocean, Kayla, Craig. Great-Great Grandchildren; Amelia, Ryder, Sarah, Haley. Sister; Marina (Arthur) Locke. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald, Sisters, Florence, Margaret, Shirley. Mom and Dad William and Rita Tippett.
Due to COVID 19 regulations a private visitation will take place at Fillatres Funeral Home on Thursday July 29 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service will be held on July 30 at 2pm from the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church with Rev Nellie Thomas officiating with interment to follow at the St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church. Special thanks to the fabulous staff at Labrador Grenfell Health, especially Dr. Law, and all the wonderful people who loved her. Many thanks to Rev. Nellie Thomas for her many visits and all her prayers, you were a blessing.
