Obituary
Mr. James Lyle Pickering, of Blackfalds, Alberta went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 17, 2021.
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by Olga, his wife of nearly 54 years; his 3 daughters Sheila (Denis) of Blackfalds, Diane, and Debbie both of Edmonton and his much loved grandchildren Luke and Laura Garzón of Blackfalds. He is also survived by his sister June Wilson of Windsor, Ontario.
He was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Verna Pickering and his brother Dennis Pickering.
Lyle was born on January 29, 1930 in Chaplin, Saskatchewan and spent his early childhood on the family farm. The family then moved to Windsor, Ontario where he lived his teenage years and graduated from high school. After graduating from Western Canadian Bible College in Regina, Saskatchewan, Lyle spent many years in ministry in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. While in ministry he met his wife Olga and they were married July 15, 1967. A few years later they moved to Blackfalds, Alberta where they raised their family and where he resided until God called him home. He was a member of the Lacombe Evangelical Free Church where he actively served for many years in different capacities.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at the Blackfalds Cemetery.
