It is with sadness that we announce that Sven William Lund, born January 15, 1933 Noel, Nova Scotia, passed away on July 21, 2021 Edmonton Alberta.
He is survived by his brother, Ted Lund (Marguerite) his three children, Derek (Chris), Luanne, and John, and his five grandchildren, Jackson, Daniel, Elise, Steven and Adam. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna Lund, and his sister, Beatrice.
Sven was an independent thinker, strong willed , feisty, irascible, frugal and yet incredibly generous and loving. He cared deeply for the well-being of his family.
Simply put, Sven was a character. He surrounded himself with friends and cronies who (mostly) shared his enthusiasm for living on the edge and bypassing bureaucracy.
He had an awe-inspiring will and courage to live his life the way he wanted.
He will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Sven’s life will be held at a future date.
The family would appreciate donations to The Red Cross in lieu of flowers.
