Loretta Collette
1944 ~ 2021
Loretta Collette, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22th, 2021 by her husband’s side. Born in Lewisville, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and the late Euphemie (Leger) Boudreau.
She is survived by her husband, Emile, her daughter, Chantal, her son-in-law Andre, and following siblings: Paul (Joyce) Armand (Anna), Edward (May), Gerald (late Annette), Jean-Pierre, and Diana; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She had a zest for life and interacting with others. She was an extrovert who loved people. She made others feel at ease and had a bubbly, social, outgoing spirit. She was also very fond of music, cooking, Christmas, butterflies, and singing. Most of all, she loved her husband, Emile, the love of her life. To have known Loretta is to also have known her husband, as the two were almost never seen without the other and were practically inseparable.
Loretta took pride and joy in being a wife and mother. She loved many, including her “favorite” son-in-law, Andre Brun, her daughter, Chantal Collette, and had a strong connection and love towards her only daughter’s mother-in-law, Carmel Brun.
She was predeceased by her brother, Maurice and her sister, Claudette.
The family would like to thank the following who went above and beyond during these difficult times. Nicole and Mario Leblanc, Carmel Brun, the entire staff at ProTem, and the Rev. Canon Chris VanBuskirk from the St. George’s Anglican Church.
In keeping with Loretta’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and by request, there will be no service. For those who wish to remember Loretta, one may do so by performing random acts of kindness in her honor and memory.
Donations can be made to the NB Alzheimer’s Society, or the St. George’s Anglican Church.
The family invites you to sign an online book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.
