Lloyd Ernest Ward
Passed away peacefully on April 20, 2021 in his 90th year, at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, ON.
Lovingly remembered and survived by Vera, his daughter Sharon and brother Gerald, sister-in-law Wilma, Shirley and Judy. Also remembered by Daryl & Donna, Darlene & Bill, Sharlene, Cindy & Rick, Cathy & Charles and Roy & Ruth as well as the grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Predeceased by his parents John and Myrtle, daughters Kathy and Charlene, their mother Teresa and grandson Cody, brothers Wallace, Bruce and Doug and sister-in-law Marion.
Lloyd enjoyed visits with his family and friends and chatting with people. He liked to get out and about and to shop at second-hand stores for “treasures” or something he could “fix up”. He took pride in his home and was proud of his hometown of Fergus. He loved to hear the church bells and the sound of the bagpipes and bands. Lloyd was a long-time member of the Melville United Church and joyful to be part of a caring and supportive congregation.
Lloyd will be sadly missed and remembered for many things, including his homemade cookies.
Thank you to his doctors, nurses and the staff who cared for him during his time in the hospital.
Donations to the Groves Hospital or a charity of choice, in memory of Lloyd, are much appreciated and can be made thru Crawford Funeral Chapel in Arthur, ON.
