Tyler was born in Fernie, BC to Tyler and Ida Lindberg. He went to school in Waldo before taking a heavy duty mechanic apprenticeship with BCFS Mechanical.
During his years with FS he was transferred throughout the province from 1963 – 1975 at which time he left them while living in Smithers, BC. After that he worked various jobs either as a mechanic or a truck driver. He lived in Kamloops from 1981 – 1988 before returning to Smithers and starting his own company, Tyler’s Towing, in 1989 which he operated until 2000 when he sold out and retired.
Tyler and his wife Kay enjoyed 17 years of retirement travelling in their RV, or fishing . In 2019 they moved to Barriere BC. He had worked in Barriere in1964 where he met Kay who was later to become his wife.
Tyler leaves behind his wife of 53 years Kay, his brother David (Jerry), nephew Tyson and niece Nicole, in laws Carol (Lloyd) Wurm , Clifford Feddersen and their children.
He is pre-deceased by his parents and brother Arthur.
An intimate family gathering was held to celebrate Tyler’s life.
