With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Lesley Winifred Goertzen on Friday, October 15th, 2021. She passed away peacefully at her home with her husband and partner of over 50 years, David Goertzen by her side. She is survived not only by her son, Darren and granddaughter, Hayley, but also by her large array of “adopted children and grandchildren ».
She lived and loved life in a way that was truly breathtaking. Memories of her warmth, generosity, passion and strength are all we have left to fill the void in our hearts with her passing. We will remember it all. Rest now Nanny, we will love you always.
There will be a small private memorial service which will be live streamed on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 3pm due to Covid 19 restrictions, attendance is limited. However, a Celebration of Life for Lesley will be held on a future date.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in memory of Lesley to the Breast Cancer Research or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
