September 14, 1952 – July 16, 2021
Joseph Jean Conrad Lefebvre passed away peacefully on July 16, 2021, in Kelowna, British Columbia with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving partner, Wendy McNeil; Wendy’s children John, Kimberly and Theresa; Conrad’s three daughters Sarah Lefebvre (Ramsay), Heather Lefebvre (Matthew) and Laura Kumpf (Brian); his six grandchildren Maven, Hattie, Leo, August, Hugh and Harlow; his siblings Denise Hinatsu (Chester), Diane Mayer and Anita Racicot; and a big extended family who he cherished.
Conrad was born on September 14, 1952, in Timmins, Ontario to Clemence and Jules Lefebvre and was the youngest brother of Denise, Diane, Anita and Rene Lefebvre. Conrad had an enormous heart and a great sense of humour. From a young age, he loved animals and throughout his life owned farms and raised horses, a passion he passed onto his children and grandchildren. When in Canada, Conrad enjoyed spending his time hunting in the mountains or out on the ocean fishing. In his retirement, he spent most of his time in Mazatlan surrounded by great friends. Throughout his life, he had successful careers in development, mining, the oil and gas industry, forestry and farming. He founded the Interior Heavy Equipment Operator School in the Okanagan and was instrumental in creating an apprenticeship for the trade. Always onto the next adventure, Conrad and Wendy explored the west coast on the Union Jack and travelled throughout North America and Mexico. Always by his side, Wendy was the light of his life.
It is with heavy hearts that his family announce his passing. Above all, they are grateful for the impact he has had on each of their lives.
In lieu of flowers, Conrad’s family kindly asks that donations are made to BC Cancer.
