Peacefully passed away with her family by her side in Sudbury on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by her parents Gédéon and Florida (née Rivet) Lamothe. Beloved wife to the late André Cloutier. Loving mother of Carmen Lefebvre (Daniel), Monique Trudel (Richard) and Daniel Cloutier. Cherished grandmother of Janelle (Eric), Danica and Patrick (Julie). Predeceased by her grandsons Christian and Joseph. Great-grandmother of Nicholas, Jacob and Alexie. Dear sister of Réjeanne Lalonde (late Georges), Laurent Lamothe (Lucie) and Claire Barbeau (late Gérald). Predeceased by her other siblings: Lucille Séguin (late Roland), Rhéal Lamothe (Jacqueline), Dolorès Bélanger (late Raymond) and Gaëtan Lamothe (Rachelle). She will sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Laurette devoted her time to her vegetable garden and her flower beds which were one of her favorite pastimes. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the cottage. She also loved baking desserts for her family and even decorating amazing wedding cakes for her nieces, nephews, and daughters. Later on, she enjoyed playing shuffleboard, doing yoga and even tai chi with her family and friends. Her smile would easily brighten any room and her positivity for life was so contagious. We would like to thank Dr. Singh and his staff for the excellent support they gave her at the hospital. A special thank you to the staff at the Hospice for making her stay as comfortable as possible. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
