It is with great sadness, the family announces the sudden passing of Larry Rose on his family farm on Sunday, June 27, 2021 in his 68th year.
He is sorely missed by his long time partner Carol McDonald and was a loving father to Owen and Samantha.
Larry is survived by his brother Robert and Judith (Soderberg) Rose. His sisters Mildred and Jackie Clement, Margaret (late Desmond) Felhaber, Annetta and Earl Andrews and brothers-in-law Patrick Kelly, Stephen and Connie (Keuhl) McDonald and sister-in-law Rhonda McDonald. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews, especially John and Mike who were dear to his heart, as well as his countless friends.
Larry was the loving son of the late Henry and Esther (Felske) Rose. He is predeceased by his sister Ethel Kelly.
Larry was an avid fisherman and hunter and could be found spending countless hours tending to his family farm as well as employed with Shaw Lumber. His greatest joy was listening to his music, spending time with family and friends sharing tales of days gone by.
A graveside service and inurnment will be held on Thursday July 8, at 11am in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sebastopol. Due to current Covid restrictions, limited spaces are available, please RSVP online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com and if attending; masks and physical distancing are still mandatory at the cemetery.
To honour Larry’s memory, a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.
We wish to thank the Paramedics for their diligence and perseverance in their efforts with Larry. Also, we wish to thank the OPP officers for their kindness and respect during this tragedy. Thank you to the Zohr Family Funeral Home for their understanding and guidance.
