Larry Allen Jollymore
1952-2021
It is with profound sadness that we
announce the loss of Larry Allen
Jollymore, 68, of Elmsdale, NS. Larry passed
away on March 26, 2021, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre
surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born in Toronto, ON and was
the baby of the family, the son of the late William and Elvina (Smith)
Jollymore. Larry spent most of his youth in River Hebert,
NS. He moved to Ottawa, ON in 1975 to complete his training
in Air Traffic Control/Flight Service where he worked as a dedicated
employee until his retirement from NAV Canada in 2007.
Larry married the love of his life,
Debbie (Linkletter) in 1975 and they embarked on their Ottawa
adventure as newlyweds and continued as such for more than 45 years.
He enjoyed many adventures throughout this time with his best
friend. He was very proud to be father to his three
children: Trina (Kenny) Clarke, Melanie (Andrew) MacDonald, and Adam
(Jamie Lynn Proctor), and was a very proud Papa to his grandchildren
Hannah, Landen, Jenna, Bryce, Lily, Reese and Ellie.
He was the loved baby brother and is
survived by his siblings Deanna (Fred) Woodworth, Marlene (Hilsen)
Kierstead, Bill (Vickie) Jollymore, Judy Jollymore, and Sandy (Gordie)
Landry. He will also be greatly missed by his brother in law
Alan (Carol) Linkletter and Lisa White. He was predeceased
by his brother Darrell, his father and mother William and Elvina
Jollymore, father and mother in law Lester and Joan Linkletter, and
brothers in law David Linkletter and Peter White.
Besides the adventures spent at the
cottage every summer with his loving wife and family (and all those
who came to stay), Larry loved to hunt and fish, spending time all
over New Brunswick and Nova Scotia but especially treasured the times
at Spicer’s Cove with his father. Being out in the
woods was always his happy place. He also loved to build and
create things, and was always working on or tinkering with
something.
Larry will always be remembered as a
loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was
always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it and willing to
help with anything to be there for those he treasured.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
Street, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). Public visitation will
