CHERNISH – Kim Agnes – It is with great sadness that the family of Kim Chernish announce her passing at her residence, Sunday September 19, 2021. Cherished sister and best friend to Carol, Linda (Bernie), and Michael (predeceased 1994). Dear aunt to Terri-Lynn Gagnon (Gord), Amanda Walter (Bill), Alicia Swords (Logan), Danny Gauthier (April), great aunt to Krista Gagnon, Kaitlyn Giret (Ellery), Emma Leitch, Sam Gauthier, Ally Walter, Kennedy Walter and Oliver Swords. Predeceased by her parents Terrance and Irene Chernish (Nadeau). Kim will be sadly missed by her many cousins, friends and colleagues. Kim was born in Welland, attended local schools and worked as a Canada Border Services Officer for over 20 years. She was a devoted “Mum” to her precious feline babies Walter and Lewis. She had an infectious laugh that will never be forgotten. She was an avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching tennis, golf and cheering on her beloved Buffalo Sabres. She loved travelling, live theatre, movies, music and recently, relaxing in her newly created backyard oasis of which she was tremendously proud. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society will be appreciated by the family.
