Wiper, Kenneth
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at the age of 79, on Friday, September 17,2021 at Erie Shores Hospice in Leamington. Beloved husband of Louise for 58 years. Loving Dad to his daughter Kim Latam (Darcy) and his son Scott (Ashley). Proud and Loving Papa to Alycia (Kyle), Abbey and Olivia. His dog Lacey held a special place in his heart. Predeceased by his parents John and Thelma Wiper. Brother of the late Bernice Simpson (late Don), Donna Brown (Gary), the late Ethel Dawson (late Larry), the late Carl Wiper (Carol). Dear Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ken loved farming life East of Wheatley for many years. He enjoyed raising sheep, goats, chickens and ducks. The family also had a Pick your own Strawberry Patch for several years. Ken was a long-time employee at HJ Heinz Co where he retired after 32 years. Once retired he enjoyed RVing and travel. He loved going for random drives out to his farm in Stevenson where he would crop dust. He never missed attending hockey, baseball or various sports that involved his grandchildren. He was a proud Papa and loved time spent with his family. We will always have a smile and a laugh when we reminisce. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Special thank you for the care and compassion he received while in Hospice. Memorial visiting at Reid Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) Tuesday from 5-8 pm. A private family graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
