Obituary of Kenneth George Feltmate
FELTMATE, Kenneth G. Pictou
Kenneth George Feltmate of Pictou, passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2021. Born in Antigonish on August 28, 1938 he was the son of the late Jack and Esther Feltmate. Kenny retired from Trenton Works after 28 years due to ill health. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Pictou. He had a keen interest in hens, poultry competition, fishing, camping and gardening. Kenny is survived by his wife, Christine (Usher); sons, Raymond (Susan) and Larry (Shelly) Feltmate, Goshen; daughter, Karen (Stewart) Farnsworth, Scotch Hill; and grandchildren, Klorissa and Myles Farnsworth. He was the biggest fan of his grandchildren’s music and sports and attended events until covid restrictions. He is also survived by brothers, John (Marion) Feltmate, Millsville; Gary (Edith) Feltmate, Central Caribou; sister, Thelma Ann (Wade) Chenell, Entry Island PQ; and sister-in-law Charlotte Feltmate, Antigonish. He was predeceased by brothers, Eldridge and Steward, and sister, Janet. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice. A public Graveside service will take place Sunday at 4PM in Haliburton Cemetery with Rev. Shelly Chandler officiating.
