Benson, Karly Jane Vegh – We are heartbroken to share that on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 our beloved Karly left this world much too soon, surrounded by her family, after a short and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 25. To know Karly was to love her and her genuine kindness and infectious smile brought joy to everyone. Karly’s love will continue to live on in those she leaves behind, cherished husband Cory Vegh, loving parents Martin and Theresa Benson, treasured sister Emily Benson, grandmother Lynda Solyk, aunts and uncles Ross & Tara Solyk and Gerry & Marsha Downie, cousins Alex and Hailee Solyk, Aaron (Kendra) and Ryan Downie, parents-in-law Alison Vegh and Peter & Linda Vegh, brothers-in-law Tyler Vegh and Ryan James, as well as many extended family members and friends. A special thank you to the entire staff of the 4Chest Unit, Karly’s Thoracic Team, and the Palliative Team at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Charlton Campus, Hamilton for their support, compassion, care of and love for Karly and our family throughout her difficult journey.
