1933-2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karl who died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 29th. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 66 years, Helga. His four children, Bernd, Robert, Debbie and Heidi. He will be forever in the hearts of his 5 cherished grandchildren, Shawn, Steven, Jonathan, Rose and Kelly and his 3 great-grandchildren, Luca, Gemma and Chloe. He also will be dearly missed by his sister Gertrud and brother Werner and family in Canada, USA and Germany.
Karl will be fondly remembered as a hard worker, who was always ready to lend a helping hand to every family member and to any friend or neighbor . He was a family man who enjoyed his time with Helga and their many friends, and liked quiet times listening to music and enjoying a very deserved nice cold beer. Gardening and cultivating beautiful flowers was one of Karl’s favourite pastimes, we were always so happy to see how proud he was of his beautiful garden
A Celebration of Karl’s Life will be held at a later date.
In memory of Karl a donation to the Vankleek Hill & District Horticultural Society, PO Box 966, Vankleek Hill , ON K0B 1R0 would be appreciated by the family.
