OAKES, Karin – passed away peacefully on February 21, 2021 in her 51st year, with her family by her side. Karin is the beloved daughter of Rod and Gloria Oakes. Her loving siblings Stephen and Joanne, and David and Wendy Oakes. Karin adored her nieces and nephews Ryan, Nancy, Emilie, Maya and Matthew Oakes, Jacob and Sam She is survived by aunts and uncles Ron and Rosemarie Losinski, Joseph Santone (late Angie), Peter and Lorraine Santone, Dan Oakes, Jeff and Anna Oakes, Marian (late Jimmy) Oakes. She is also survived by great aunts Lillian Santone (late Mike) Clara Wilson (late Jack), and Betty Lostracco (late Joe) She is also loved and survived by many cousins The family would like to express profound thank you to the staff in ICU at St. Catharines general hospital. A very special thank you to nurse Jim and nurse Patti, and Doctor Duan and Doctor Tandon and Doctor Crowe for your compassion and your empathy. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
