WALKER, JOSEPH RONALD
Passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the age of 56 after a long battle with cancer at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario. Joe leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Stacey (Ellis) and his two children, Marissa and Brandon. Along with his fur babies, Luna, Grayson and Nova. Joe is predeceased by his parents Ron and Alda Walker. Joe is survived by his siblings Wendy (Danny), Lori (David), Cindy (John) and Peter. Joe was also a Brother-in-Law to Randy Ellis (Julie), Shelly Ellis (Sean) and Carollee Dower (Fred) and Son-in-Law to Pauline Styles (Jeff). Joe was Uncle to Brianne, Nick, Danielle, Michelle, Keegan and Cassidy. At the time of Joe’s death, he was a Red Seal Industrial Millwright Mechanic and worked at Flex N Gate Seeburn (Beaverton), GE Canada (Peterborough) and most recently at Armada Toolworks Ltd. (Lindsay). Joe was known by many to be a very skilled welder and fabricator. He enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling and travelling with his family. There will be a Celebration of Life for Joe on November 21st, 2021 at Lakeland Funeral & Cremation Centre, Lindsay, Ontario. Beginning at 11:00 a.m. there is a walk through for those with/without their vaccinations. Service and Luncheon from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., this portion of the Celebration of Life is for visitors that have received both vaccinations. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations in Joe’s name be made to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes (HSKL).
At the family’s request, attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination and photo ID to attend the SERVICE & RECEPTION which will allow full capacity at the funeral home. Masks or face coverings are mandatory. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the service to ensure a timely entry to the chapel.
