Age 70, Cheticamp, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. He was a son to the late Marcellin G. and the late Elizabeth (Poirier) Aucoin.
Marcel will be remembered for his love of music, singing and both playing and building guitars.
Besides his loving wife, Linda (Shomphe) Aucoin, he is survived by son, Michel (Kelly); daughter, Christine (Ken); brother, Albert (Marie-Jeanette); sisters, Claudette (Edmond), Georgina and Jeanne (Pierre). He will be especially missed by his two grand-daughters, Ainsley and Eva who adored spending time with him and teasing their beloved Pépére. He was predeceased by a brother, Eugène.
There will be no visitation. A private funeral service (for family only) will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Cheticamp Funeral Home. Burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Cheticamp.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre or the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
