It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my husband and best friend, John Richard Bowness, at home in Faro on February 14, 2021 at the age of 75 years.
John leaves to mourn his loving wife Bonnie (White); daughters Tammy Bowness and Deanna Samra (Mike); step-son Kendall Harvey; sisters Barbara Lee (Norm) and Mary Chayko (Stan); grandchildren Robbie, Miranda, Jaret, Skylar, Ronin and Naysa; great-grandchildren Jaxson, Grayson and Carson; and a large circle of family and friends.
John was pre-deceased by his father Ernest, mother Amy, sister Beverley, step-son Ray and brother-in-law Monty.
Sincere thanks are extended to Dr. Rashi and Dr. Miller at the BC Cancer Centre in Prince George; Dr. Jamieson and Chemo Team at Whitehorse General Hospital; Nurse Matthew Went at Faro Health Centre; Joshua Wilcox and Faro EMS Team; Dr. Gordon Frey and many other family and friends who have provided loving support at this difficult time.
Due to Covid, a celebration of John’s life will be held at a future date.
