At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Friday, January 1, 2021. John Albert Major of Summerstown; age 92 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Major (nee Terriah). Loving father of Gail Renaud (Ed), Linda Major and the late Jimmy Major (late Marilyn). He was proud of his 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents James and Elizabeth Major (nee Ferguson); brother Joe Major (late Mary). John is survived by one brother Peter (late Alda), sister Margaret MacPhee and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St., Lancaster (613-347-3629). Due to COVID restrictions, cremation will take place along with a private burial. A Celebration of John’s life will take place later this year. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Cornwall Hospice would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to John, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
