Obituary of Joan Sommers
Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, January 4, 2021, Joan Sommers of Victoria, age 87 years.
Predeceased by husband: Leslie; daughter: Lisa; parents: Fred and Dinah Pye; sister: Mary Jennings; brother: Herb Pye.
Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Sandra, Joye (Vernon), and Blanche (Brian) Southwell; three sons: Wade (Cheryl), Peter (Judy), and Jeremy (Cheryl); seven grandchildren: Andrea, Samira, Dinah, Brendon, Bradley, Cory, and Mitchel; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Carbonear, followed by funeral service at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria on Thursday, January 7th, by invitation only. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
