It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of
Jerry Paul Wright of Fredericton, NB on August
15th, 2021 at the Dr Everett Chalmers
Hospital. He was 75 years old. Born in Bath, NB he was the
son of the late Bradford and Mary (Vautour) Wright.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years
Dorothy, their three children, Desmond (Melissa), Jarrett and Adam
(Kyla Boldt), and two much adored grandsons, Abram and Hudson. As well
as many more cherished friends and family.
Jerry’s first and foremost love was his wife
Dorothy and their boys. He would do anything to make them
happy. He was a charitable and generous man, trying to do
good and give back to his community as much as he could. He
loved holding court, as he was a storyteller by heart. Jerry had a
passion for sports, especially golf, basketball, and
baseball. He golfed all over the US and Canada and he passed
this passion on to his grandsons.
Jerry was born to be a salesman, he started as a plumber in
the 70’s and continued with plumbing sales. In
1984, he and Dorothy started J. Wright Sales out of a tiny home in New
Maryland and quickly outgrew two homes and employed many people
throughout the Atlantic Canadian provinces. His employees were not
just his employees, they were part of his extended
family. Passionate in everything that he did he was very well
respected in the plumbing industry.
Visitation for Jerry will be held at Bishop’s
Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road on Wednesday August 18th from 2-4 and
7-9 PM. Funeral services will be from the Skyline Acres
Baptist Church 135 Canterbury Drive on Thursday August 19th, 2021, at
11 AM with Rev Karl Csaszar officiating. Interment to follow
in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
By request the family has asked that masks be
worn for the visitation and funeral service for the safety of family
and friends.
In Jerry’s memory, in lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the Fredericton Food Bank or the Alzheimer’s
Society.
