Obituary
Margaret Isabel Hauck of Edmonton passed away on May 25, 2021 at the age of 93.
Isabel was born on Feb 2, 1928 to Olive and Joseph MacKenzie in Wainwright, Alberta. She graduated from the Edmonton General Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 and nursed there as well as in Winnipeg and Wainwright. She assisted her husband Otto in his dental office for ten years. She had many happy memories of these times.
Isabel married Dr. Otto Simon Hauck in 1952 and they had 50 loving years together. She was a caring, devoted mother and grandmother (Nana). Many of her happiest moments were spent with her family. She truly enjoyed hosting family and friends in her home.
Isabel will be deeply missed by her loving family, her four children, Mary Anne (Peter) Venner, Margaret Mooney (Peter LeClair), Edward (Yvonne) Hauck, Teresa (Chris) Foy; ten grandchildren, Chris (Beth) Venner, Allison (Ehren) Goodall, Julie Venner (Jason Doornbos), Alexandra Venner, Georgia Venner, Aimee Mooney, Keith Hauck (Asta Coate), Nicole (Laurens) Koelewijn, Graham Foy (Daiva Zalnieriunas), Duncan Foy; and eleven great grandchildren, Isabelle, Eamon, Harris, MacKenzie, Sebastian, Atticus, Adam, Olivia, Gwyneth, Beau and Zoe.
Isabel grew up alongside nine dear siblings. She will be missed by, her sisters, Frances Downie, Jean (Neil) Miller, Olive Burns, Ellen Ogilvy; sisters in-law, Joan Mackenzie, Merle Wall; brothers in-law, Dan McGuire, Gordon Nagel; and many nieces and nephews.
Isabel was predeceased by, her husband, Otto; her parents, Olive and Joseph; her brothers, Donald, John and David; her sisters, Anne and Kathy. She will be remembered by Otto’s extended family.
A Celebration of Isabel’s Life will be held at a later date.
