Irene (LeBlanc) Robichaud, 92, died with her youngest son by her side, at the Miramichi Regional hospital on January 3rd, 2021. Eager to be with her late husband of 68-years, she passed-on looking forward to finally being reunited. Born in Acadie Siding in 1928, Irene is the fifth youngest daughter of the late Levi and Madeleine (Richard) LeBlanc and the cherished matron of our family.
She will be missed by her three remaining sisters: Nora, Aurelie and Rosa; her brother Richard; her four children: Sandra Jennings (John), Ronny (Bonny predeceased), Arnold (Lise) and Larry Robichaud (Jacques); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her four sisters: Aurore, Corine, Gloria and Marguerite.
Born at a simpler time, Irene was a beautiful and strong-willed young woman who grew into a hard-working mother and loving wife. Although she left us as a soft-spoken elder with innocent eyes and a mischievous smile, she will be forever remembered for her selfless nature that never failed to put a smile on our lips. We, who were lucky enough to know her, will never forget her bottomless strength and endless compassion.
Due to the actual pandemic circumstances, a private viewing will be held for the family. The funeral will be celebrated at the St-François-de-Sales RC church of Rogersville, on Friday January 8th, at 2pm, by invitation only. Public health safety measures must be respected.
