It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ida, a loving Mother, Nonna and Bis-Nonna, on March 16, 2021 at Dolce Vita Retirement Living, at the age of 96. Reunited with her beloved husband Eugenio (2002). Loving mother of Carmela and husband Onorio Muscedere, Windsor, Osvaldo and wife Cheryl Russo, LaSalle and Maria and husband Michael Caldarelli, Tecumseh. Cherished Nonna to Dr. Giulio and wife Erika Muscedere, Assuntina and husband Dwight Cockburn, Roberto Muscedere, Christopher Eugenio Russo, Laura Elisabetta Russo, Stephen Campbell Russo, Giulio Caldarelli, Carolina and husband Michael Harrington, Elena Caldarelli. Adored Bis-Nonna to Zahra, Jakob, Ava, Mia, Maxum, Ella, Leila, Clara, and Isaiah. Devoted sister to the late Antonia and Cesare Furano of Italy, late Pasquale and Domenica Briglio of BC., Elena and late Giovanni Ruperto of BC, late Beniamino and Elisabetta Briglio of Edmonton, AB, Maria and late Mario Russo of Argentina and the late Geniale and Carmela Briglio. Dear sister in-law to the late Stanislao and Teresina Russo of (Edmonton), the late Filomena and Gennaro Pucci (Alberta), the late Raffaela Russo (Italy), the late Rosaria and Mario Russo (Italy), the late Pasquale and surviving wife Antonietta Russo (Windsor), and the late Maria and Pasquale Ianni (Italy). Ida is survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and Argentina. Ida was the matriarch of our family. Affectionately known as «Nonna», Ida’s kindness and generous heart, along with her open door policy was always welcoming. Her love was unconditional to family and friends with plentiful offerings of food and drink. Ida was truly blessed to have her family and was very proud of all of their accomplishments. A heartfelt thank you to Dolce Vita Retirement Living, especially, Franca and Tony Conciatori, PSW’s and staff for their wonderful, exceptional and compassionate care provided to Ida. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd., E. (519) 253.7234 on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers Friday at 4:30pm. Funeral Service on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10:15am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Reservations and masks are required to attend Visitation, Funeral Mass and Cemetery Services.
