Obituary
Henry passed away peacefully on the morning of May 21, 2021 at the age of 94. He was born in Hazelton, BC in the Wrinch Memorial Hospital on Dec. 26, 1926.
Henry was predeceased by his father Lars Hagen, mother Anna, brothers Art, George and Norman, sister Louise, and his son Raymond Arthur Hagen. He is survived by his children Chuck, Kathy (Rene) and Cliff (Stephanie). He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Charlene (Calvin), Orin, Sage (Cody), Paisley (Jordan); his great grandchildren Kolby, Hendrix, Peyton, Harley, Freyja, and Riley as well as many nieces and nephews.
Henry started out in life as a logger with his father and brothers. He also worked with a surveying crew in the Bowser area and drove truck for the Silver Standard Mine. At one time he had a job maintaining two big diesel engines for BC Hydro in Two Mile, and he and his brothers were involved in the early stages of the Kispiox Valley Rodeo. But his passion was in logging and he did that until he retired in 1972. In his last three or four working years he was building road for the forestry with Pete Souhan.
Henry was loved and respected by many friends and neighbors throughout the area. He will be laid to rest in the New Hazelton Cemetery. Friends and family will be welcomed at a Celebration of Life to take place in the near future. Time and place will be announced.
