Obituary
Henk Zantinge passed away in Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the age of 81. Henk leaves behind his wife Dianne of 21 1/2 years; Children: Theo Zantinge of Calgary, Ruth Ann Zantinge of Saskatoon (Mackenzie Zantinge, Anderson Clark), Christine (David) Gerbrandt of Waldheim, Sask. (Kent), Step Children: Rob (Marilene) Dezall of Okotoks (Bradley, Jessica, Christina, Ryan), and Troy (Lynnette) Dezall of Penhold (Kurtis (Nicole), Lyla-Jean (Zac) Bowman, Angela, Steven). Henk also leaves behind one brother, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews all in Ontario and many, many special friends.
Henk was many things in this life. He was a Minister of the Gospel, pastored churches in Alberta and Ontario, and was a missionary on the Island of Saipan. He loved hunting and fishing, shooting gophers, canoeing, and camping with his children and grandchildren. The last 21 years, he and Dianne worked the land on the Dezall Family Farm bringing it back to life. They also travelled many places visiting family and friends. He loved it when his family would come to visit and sit around the fire telling stories. He built a cabin/playhouse for all the grandchildren at the farm and they made many interesting things on the wood stove in the cabin. He was a blessing and a great friend to all who knew him, and the grass never grew underneath his feet as he was always working on something.
We are going to miss him and do our best to carry his torch of loving God and sharing life with those around us. He will be greatly missed.
