Helen Taylor
Taylor, Helen – Age 78, Brookside, passed away on August 25, 2021 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, NS. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (McLaughlin) Moore.
Helen worked for many years at Stanfield’s. She loved listening to music, singing and playing her guitar. She also enjoyed painting, gardening and spending time with her family, who loved her dearly.
Helen is survived by daughters, Betty MacAloney, Woodstock, ON, Lorna (Brian) Taylor, Brookside; sons, Merle (Cheryl) Murphy, Bass River, Rene (Wenche) Murphy, Shearwater; step- daughters, Katherine Broadhead, Truro, Penny (Jason) MacCormack, Valley; stepsons, Johnny (Roxanne) Taylor, Truro, Leo Hutchinson, Edmonton, AB; nephew, Chris Hurley as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Robert “Tex” Taylor; brother, James Moore.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 28th at 3p.m. in Harmony Cemetery. Donations in Helen’s memory to charity of choice.
